Do our best friends turn aloof with time??

Sometimes months may pass off without exchanging words, Years may pass by in silence. But the friends we make and the memories we share will never fade.

I met him a day after my 17th birthday. Serendipity! He was adorable with dimpled cheeks, twinkled eyes, and a slightly mysterious nature. Starting with an awkward smile and formal wishes, we became friends.

I can say, he is the best thing ever happened to me. In a short span, he has become all my strength and confidence. He is the person I can count on. I love the ever ending talks we start and the way he says "I like you” with a giggle. We care a lot for each other and yes!! We do fight.

With time, things had a different turn before I realized we went apart; Care and intimacy began to dwindle. Cards and calls went unaddressed. Memories of the days we spent seem to have struck my life in rewind. He turned out to be a friend who touches my heart just in memories.

With time, bitter memories started to fade-deepening the scar inflicted by him on my heart. Enduring the pain, I realized change is inevitable. Priorities change with time, so do people's attitude. People do make new friends, but it doesn't mean they shun the old ones. At times our Feelings for them may go unexpressed, but dear ones always love. He is my best friend, and I always like him. May be, one day he would call me just to say "I like you" with the familiar giggle that we share. Awaiting it.

Just married !!

To,
The one who leads me up an aisle,
and chums me in fears with a smile.
you are new to my life,
and I write this as your wife
Difficult to start life anew,
with someone I hardly knew
but let's build a strong kinship ,
sharing fun and every hardship
at times I may fight and glare,
but do have empathy, before you flare
let's start our married life,
standing for each other even in strife.
